Wine Tasting Basics: See, Sniff, Sip, Sense
Learn how to taste wine like Sommeliers do! In this course, you will learn a four-step approach to wine tasting. You will learn how to evaluate a wine based on its sight (SEE), aromas (SNIFF), flavors (SIP), and structure (SENSE). You will also be given an introduction of how to identify various wines in a blind tasting and be able to test out your newly acquired abilities on the wine flight provided.
Course Outline:
1. Presentation of tasting technique with interactive tasting of one wine
2. Exercise of tasting one wine individually, applying technique
3. Blind tasting of wines to deduce what grape wines are from
4. Discussion
